Jersey Mikes in and of itself is nothing special, decent subs but honestly if you’re already in NJ you could do so much better. BUT I’m giving a five star rating to Jersey Mikes because of their incredible attention to detail and how seriously they take food allergies. I recently found out I have Celiac’s (gluten allergy) and it’s really hard to find quick meals that can accommodate. My kids and I were traveling through on 9/16 around 12:30pm and when I asked for the gluten free bread the person behind the counter asked if it was a preference or an allergy and when I confirmed allergy he then proceeded to clean off the station, change his gloves, and pull out a fresh, clean cutting board to process my order and everyone else who touched my sandwich changed out their gloves as well. I am so impressed with not only Jersey Mike’s training and policies on this, but on the staff members and their implementation of those policies. As ridiculous as it sounds it almost brought tears to my eyes that they took my allergy so seriously because I’m still trying to navigate the intricacies of it myself. I felt valued and it’s great to know that I have somewhere I can definitely go without worrying about whether or not I’ll find a safe meal while traveling. Thank you to Jersey Mike’s as a whole, and thank you specifically to the managers who train this location, and most specifically to those who made my order yesterday!
