Very mixed experience. I'll start off with the good: the regular crepes were outstanding. Tasty, well presented, and loaded with toppings. Strike one: We ordered sides of bacon. It was undercooked and cold. That would be inexcusable at a Waffle House, let alone a $20+ a plate "gourmet" breakfast spot. Strike two: My wife has a wheat allergy, and so, lots of experience with gluten free menu items. The gluten free version of the crepes was really underwhelming. Strike three: No part of whatever was served as maple syrup came from a maple tree. At this price point, one expects perfection from the food. Well... nope.

I am a fan of Joanie's usually. I take clients and agents there. I even recommend it to friends. However, on Monday May 6th my experience with who I believe to be an owner is one that I will not soon forget. My daughter has a dairy and egg allergy(diagnosed by a doctor), so when my husband asked about vegan options at the square location 1 week before this encounter, he was told that the gluten-free option would fit our needs. the recommendation contained both egg and milk. When I asked about the option on the 6th, I was told we should not rely on a 20 something to diagnose an allergy. I said we are well aware of our needs. The discussion from there was unpleasant. Employees, no matter their age, should know the menu in order to assist the customer. What a poor response.
