Joey’s Fish Shack - Lethbridge

This experience was very disappointing. I went with friends. I used to love the food and was really looking forward to this. It has been years since I was here. It was Joeys only. The restaurant was clean and inviting. We were greeted. It was a bit of a longer wait to receive our food but not bad. I only seen one Chef and they had other orders. He was doing what he could. Upon ordering, there was a gluten free fish order. It came out on a separate, lets call it "platter", along with the reg battered fish. It was brought to my attention and said to take it back and fix it please. I suggested to redo it as arts of yhe meal would get cold. His wife said she would take it so they have it to her instead and didnt fix their mistake. He ended up eating a reg fish which didnt compute why they would order a special meal. The presentation wasnt up to par. It was served on a small cookie sheet with brown parchment to line it. The fish was dry. I tried the indian infused batter. It was bland. The Mango pickle tarter sauce was inedible. I wont be back

The new reno is absolutely beautiful. I really like the design elements! The service was really friendly and prompt. Our meal was delicious! I was nervous about the gluten free pan seared option but it far exceeded my expectations. We’ll be back! :)
