Gluten-Free Options: Yes - but risk of cross contamination Halal/Kosher: Unsure Vegan Option: Yes Vegetarian Options: Yes Nut Free Options: Yes -but risk of cross contamination Dairy Alternatives: No First Impression: A cozy family owned restaurant. Order: Halibut fish and chips and grilled halibut with coleslaw and fries. Favourite: The fish. It’s high quality and has a great taste even when it’s fried or grilled. Make sure to get their homemade sauce as it really complements the fish. Critiques: Adding dietary restrictions to the menu could be helpful to some customers. Bonus: Their menu has a Greek twist to it with items such as Greek salad, baklava, saganaki and dolmades. Take Away: A hidden gem in the city. We will definitely be returning. For context, my family is from Nova Scotia so we feel we have had good seafood before. We have ordered takeout and were impressed with the fish and chips. Our large party of 13 recently dined in - every single person, ranging from kids aged 9-10 to adults in their 80s felt the food was excellent - grilled or battered. If ordering the battered fish the serving of fish itself is huge, and the lovely person who served our big party was attentive, friendly and provided excellence guidance to our party member who has celiac disease. We did not take pictures but refer to all the others posted on Google reviews - they are indicative of what we had. I would not describe the venue itself as being fancy, but fits the bill for what I would expect of a nice, family run local business that serves high quality food. Will definitely return as our new "go to" seafood place and try more of the menu, and continue to plan to support this local gem.
