*Celiac/Gluten Allergy Review*
6 out of our party of 8 arrived but they would not seat them in an empty restaurant. When our 2 other guests arrived, they held the door for a party of 8 who the host took and immediately seated ahead of our party. We were crammed into a 6 person table and asked to move and they said no. Manager came over and offered for us to split our party to have more room. We opted out of this. Not a big deal because we are all friends. We start looking at the menu and it was VERY unfriendly to patrons. It is obvious this place has had an issue with unsatisfied customers before based on the writing in the menu. However, your future guests should not be punished for a previous guests’ experience. I went to order my food and ordered a breakfast platter that came with pancakes which I asked to have gluten free because I have celiac disease. They refused to substitute regular pancakes for GF because “they can’t do that”. They offered to split everything ala carte which would have doubled the price of the breakfast platter. So now I am punished because I have an allergy and cannot order something that I want on the menu? Who can afford to order every single thing individually? So I settled for the GF pancakes. I ordered 2 plain, GF pancakes. I was brought out pancakes with powdered sugar and strawberries and was told that’s how their GF pancakes were served. They could not bring me plain GF pancakes… they could only bring them with strawberries and powdered sugar and charge me $12 for that instead of the $6 price for just plain pancakes. We all considered getting up and leaving immediately after ordering our food but within 5-10 minutes after ordering our food came out and it was cold. The timing of which the food came out, the temperature and overall taste of the food would indicate that it had been made for a while and had just been sitting. The host and wait staff were courteous, it’s not their fault the upper management has made this place such a dictatorship.
In summary, if what you want happens to be on their menu and you’re comfortable with paying premium prices for average quality food then you might consider this your place.
