KIELO COFFEE Akihabara

The cinnamon-flavored gluten-free carrot cake was so delicious that I wanted to buy some to take home. There were many coffee options, and the staff was kind enough to explain the differences in flavors to me.

The oat milk flat white (latte) I had at Kielo was simply the best I've ever had in Japan and I'd rate it in my top five of all time. I went with their recommendation of bean - Chelchele in this case - and it was exquisite. They could be in a side street in Melbourne and do more than hold their own, they would be a benchmark there too. Friendly and kind staff (their English thankfully better than my Japanese), nice ambience and a cosy vibe. It's well worth the wait when they are busy, it will be my goto from now on. While I didn't partake in first visit, their food options looked delicious as well. Edited later: been back twice now and postive impressions only reinforced - they do a gluten free banana bread which is delish, the Buenos Aires Peach bean is sublime and pairs well with the oat milk they have. All considered well worth a special trip.

I've always liked light roasted coffee, so I really liked the coffee here. I also had the carrot cake, which was gluten-free and very delicious.
