We had breakfast last Sunday at 9:00 am. From the start, the employees were either busy with each other or, if they were taking orders, very snippy and stressed.
My companion asked for a gluten-free pancake, and then a “normal” pancake came. Everything's okay up to this point. Afterwards, the employee tried to excuse himself by saying that we had ordered a gluten-free coffee (whatever that is supposed to be). When I asked that I would eat the "normal" pancake that had arrived in error because otherwise it would end up in the trash, we were told that we still had to pay for it, even though it was clearly the employee's mistake. If we didn't pay for the pancake, it would end up in the trash. What kind of work ethic and attitude is that in general? In addition, all of the other employees, with the exception of one young gentleman who was very nice, were stubborn and unmotivated. Absolutely a shame and not worthy of the great location.
For me it's a classic example where the food tastes incredibly good, but the taste is completely lost with such arrogant and miserable service. Even if some employees see the service as a student job, at least hire students who are somewhat motivated and interested in the work. There are enough.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that this impression of gossip has been confirmed in Chur. Really a shame...
