Kajohn Thai Restaurant

Now where do I begin?! (Warning: it's a detailed review and well worth the read as the food is delicious 😋) Kajohn's is a must try as you'll keep coming back. Please trust me on this one! Here's why... I live in Ottawa, Ontario and I travel to Nova Scotia for work. There isn't a time where I don't visit Kajohn's when I am blessed to visit. The drive isn't too far from the downtown area of Halifax (where I regularly stay) whether that's a colleague driving or taking a taxi. So, ✔️ and an A+ Once you pull into the parking lot, the vibe feels right! Another ✔️ and A+ The lighting and signage is clear which highlights hours of operation. Thankfully I always seem to make it before the kitchen closes which is also noted on their website etc. Thanks for this Kajohn's as it's important for customers to know this info so we can respect work life balance as I personally would not want y'all to stay any longer than needed. Everyone needs a pause. Another ✔️ and A+ You enter the restaurant and your eyes automatically start to explore as there is such beauty in this space. The restaurant is spotless. It's warm and welcoming. Another ✔️ The staff greet you with such care and enthusiasm so you just know something good is coming your way. Another ✔️ The menu choices are on point. You should see what you get for your $. It's a package deal, I tell ya. E.g., combos that include a spring roll, soup and a main dish that cost less than 20$ for lunch and a little more for dindin. Another ✔️ I've been here well over 10 times thanks to a friend introducing me to Kajohn's. I've tried several items on the menu and you just can't go wrong. But there's a but... I just discovered my favourite with some competing side dishes 😋. I wish I had the tummy space for it all - just sayin! Are you ready for my recommendation?! Here it is... well it's written right on the paper bag in the pic below. Ha- made you look! Another ✔️ 😉 Honestly, I have never tasted a more delicious curry. There may be others but this by far is my official favourite. It has a touch of coconut which makes me melt every time. There's more... My meal came with one of the most savory spring rolls with dip, coconut soup, white rice in the shape of a heart (come on now - how sweet is that?!) and my main course. Best for last delivered to you with the most genuine energy and smile. In my humble opinion, Kajohn's is a 10 + Never mind Google 's 5 star rating. This restaurant should be rated one of Halifax's top 5 restaurants. So, if you're looking for yummy Thai, vegetarian, gluten free, meat dishes, wonderful customer service, a clean and comfortable atmosphere with spaciousness to sit alone or in company, please visit Kajohn's as you won't be disappointed. Everything was made gluten-free and vegan....pad thai, sticky rice with peanut sauce, peanut noodles and yellow curry (slightly spicy). Dishes were mostly mild and perfect for our kids! We LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Exceptional server.....extremely polite and helpful! We ate a lot of food so spent a bit more!
