Kala

First time at Kala and it was superb! Plenty of gluten free options for coeliacs and the quality and taste of the food was amazing. The atmosphere and service was great, our server was coeliac too so very knowledgeable about gluten free options and recommendations. The bill wasn’t cheap but then again it was a treat including a lush bottle of wine, but worth every penny. We’re regulars at Kala’s sister restaurant Hispi in Didsbury, but I have to say Kala really upped its game and both me and my husband thought the food was tastier and might make it a new regular even though it’s further away from where we live!

We chose to eat here as it came recommended from friends due to their allergen accomodations. There were 4 of us and I'm the only one with dietary requirements (gluten free due to Coeliac). The menu for myself was very easily laid out and explained by our host, I had no problems navigating what I could safely eat. The food was outstanding and left us more than satiated. Before we left we were already talking about going back for another meal. Our host, Becca G, was phenomenal. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant she was friendly, talkative, and very accomodating. Her smile never faltered and her whole attitude made us feel at ease. We were very well taken care of and even given recommendations for a stunning cocktail bar around the corner. Drinks were also amazing and shout out to the chefs who stayed late for us as we were the last sitting of the day and were the last to leave! Their skills were greatly appreciated. We will absolutely be coming back next time we're in Manchester.
