Kalypso's Sports Tavern

I came in and asked for water for me and my dog because I end up walking further than I anticipated. Younger taller Hispanic gentleman made an effort to find something for my dog to drink out of. He just told me to hold on while he looks and nothing else. The Hispanic older woman, assuming she's management doing inventory, was there when he was in the back. I asked for water for myself and for her to tell him never mind we'll both drink this. I drank the water and then I let my dog drink out of it. Then she tells me that there's a $10 charge if dogs drink out of the cup. You don't demand money AFTER he drinks out of the cup. I had asked for to-go cup and she said they don't have any (which is odd for a restaurant ) but again didn't make it clear about the cup policy until after he drank out of it. I understand not wanting dogs to drink out of the same cup as humans do. Hygiene. However they should have clearly let me know ahead of time the policies and what was going on. So the manager demands $10. I told her I did not have any money on me. She proceeded to repeat herself and lecture me four times about how they charge blah blah blah in a condescending tone. Do not lecture me. You are not my teacher, or parent. I will not go back there to eat in the future. $10 for a Dollar Tree plastic cup. Come on! Also, their gluten free pizza is extremely small and overpriced. They use a super thin (supposedly) 10-inch cauliflower base.

We had a fantastic dinner at Kaypso’s last night. Our server, Julian, was an absolute highlight. He was happy and positive from the moment he said hello. Very helpful and attentive to our questions and needs. He is the reason it was a five-star night vs a good time/four star. The food was delicious and good size portions. Good view of the lake. And the menu is labeled for Gluten-free! Will definitely be back.
