Karam Restaurant and Bar

I'd give more stars if I could! The staff was very kind, the restaurant was cute, and the food was absolutely incredible. I have celiac disease but there were tons of gluten free options (the gf pita was divine). I also accidentally left my phone in the booth after dinner, but they went out of their way to catch up to me and make sure I didn't leave it behind. A wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.

amazing food! the lamb shawarma and chicken shawarma were to die for! everything was seasoned to perfection. the presentation was beautiful too. lots of gluten free options! the gluten free pita was very good. the service staff was so friendly and welcoming :). while we were eating, a kind old man named gene, who is obviously a regular there, stopped and said to us “isn’t this this place the best?? I love it here” before leaving. as he was leaving all of the staff said things along the lines of “bye gene, thanks for coming by again!” :). they live gene, and so did we :) all in all, this place has got a very charming, small town feel here in the big city. My partner and I will definitely be coming back next time we’re in portland :)
