Was told an item was gluten free when it wasn’t. Came in just to look at the beautiful pastries and when asked if I wanted to purchase anything I said no sorry I’m gluten free (celiac) and vegan and I doubt I can eat anything here. I was told there were gf vegan croissants. I clarified 3 times asking if the item was in fact gluten free because I couldn’t believe this place had vegan gluten free croissants. Additionally, the pastry case only stated the item was vegan and didn’t mention anything about gluten free (another reason why I asked staff 3 times if the item was in fact gluten free). Purchased and ate a bite of the croissant (which in fact is not gluten free) so now I am very sick. Contacted the manager the next day who was very accommodating and said staff would be talked to. However, just think it’s important for people with allergies to be very cautious. Fyi for anyone celiac, with a gluten allergy, or gluten intolerance no pastries are gluten free.
