Karolas Restaurant

As someone with severe gluten and nuts allergies I highly recommend Karolas Restaurant! Our server, Dorlyn, was excellent and when I let him know about my allergies he explained they have a dedicated fryer for gluten free and even fresh gluten free bread! He did predice that I would have to wait a little bit for them to turn the fryer on and bake the bread etc but I didn’t notice anything longer than typical, no problem at all. The restaurant seems to really go above and beyond for gluten allergies, especially compared to other restaurants close by. I had the traditional casada de carne and I wish I had brought a bigger appetite because there were many options for me! Overall, if you’re gluten free rest assured you’ll be taken care of and I bet with other food restrictions too. Price was also very competitive to nearby restaurants especially considering the upscale “vibe” I’d say it’s a great deal for a nice meal in Manuel Antonio.

I came here with my wife for dinner as the sun was setting, really beautiful view, the service and the food were excellent. They were able to make accomodations for my wife who is gluten free which we really appreciate. We enjoyed it so much we came a second time before leaving Manuel Antonio. Definitely recommend!
