I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who needs to eat gluten-free. Before making the reservation, I specifically called to ask if they could safely accommodate a gluten-free diet. I was assured they could and was even told I would be able to enjoy the full hibachi experience. Unfortunately, that was not true. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the staff didn't understand gluten-free dining. While my husband and I both ordered hibachi meals, my "starter salad" was literally just plain lettuce. When I asked if there was any dressing I could have, I was told my options were salt, pepper, or white vinegar. That was honestly ridiculous. The biggest disappointment came when the chef was about to start cooking. We were informed that my meal couldn't be prepared on the hibachi grill at all and instead had to be cooked in the kitchen. Had I been told this on the phone, we never would have chosen this restaurant. The entire reason we came was to enjoy the hibachi experience together. I asked the manager if I could simply cancel my meal and just stay with my husband while he enjoyed his dinner, but I was told that wasn't an option. So instead, I was served a separate meal from the kitchen that had virtually no flavor except what tasted like an entire bottle of salt. To make matters worse, I asked for yum yum sauce, assuming they could provide a gluten-free version as countless other hibachi restaurants do. Instead, I was told theirs contains gluten. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. We chose this restaurant for a special celebration, and instead we left frustrated, misled, and feeling like our dietary needs had been treated as an inconvenience. If your restaurant cannot provide the hibachi experience for gluten-free guests, don't tell people over the phone that you can. We won't be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity to dine elsewhere.
