line is always long when i pass by so i knew i had to try. so glad i did bc the black sesame matcha was so good. i’m gluten-free and the ube muffins they have here are also delicious. shout out to izzie she was the sweetest cashier ever and explained the menu so well (i asked a lottt of questions haha). 11/10 food and service, 10/10 would come again (ideally when wait isn’t too bad)

I love this place! Their matcha (especially the einspanner) is sooo good and high quality! Their donuts and gluten free muffins are delicious too. Highly recommend KinBake

Everyone in here is so kind and the staff is extremely helpful and young. There’s truly no other mochi donut or einspanner place in the SB area like Kin. I’m gluten free so the main reason I’m giving 4 stars is I think that their gluten free baked goods leave a lot to be desired. The current GF donut is quite dense and not even near the consistency of the real donut. The GF muffins are fine, but kind of bland. Luckily the drinks make up for that in a BIG way. They have some of the best matcha latte and specialty drinks in SB by FAR. It’s a gem of SB for sure, I just think if you are gluten free you’re better off buying baked goods at Lilac for now.
