I went into this place pretty apprehensively. I’ve been diagnosed celiac a few years now and my experience with ice cream shops hasn’t been the best (cross contamination, full on gluten…if you know, you know). I spoke to the lady at the front, and explained I’m celiac. She assured me they take allergies seriously, use fresh scoops, wash counters before serving, but there are no guarantees. I decided to chance it. I got a single kids scoop and then she asked if I wanted a gluten free cone? THERE’S GLUTEN FREE CONE!!?? How delightful, yes please. I ate ice cream in a cone for the first time in three years; it was fantastic and I felt great. No “gluttening” for me. The ice cream was the best I’ve tasted in a long time and the cone was amazing, better than a lot of gluten free cookies in my opinion. The menu items state “gluten” or “vegan” so you know without asking, which is also great to see. I totally recommend this place and I’ll be back again! I hope this review helps a few of you celiacs out there that just want to feel comfortable eating ice cream (in a cone!) on a hot summer day.
