King Charles Hotel in Kent

I was happy with my booking as I knew the King Charles Hotel. I was a bit shocked to see the old overgrown site of the nightclub in such a state. Might be an idea to clear and tidy up that area. The room interiors are very dated and needs air conditioning, the fan provided was inadequate. When heading to the restaurant you could smell the grease from chips etc before you went in and your clothes would be smelly when you left the restaurant. Extractor fan clearly needs updated. When we went to the restaurant on our last night we sat for 45 minutes waiting for our meal. I am gluten free and require a special diet. I did not have to expect to wait that long for a meal and if it was the case, then I should have been informed when ordering. It certainly wasn’t like this on my first night in the restaurant. I believe they were catering for the Bosch tours more than those not on the tour. Breakfast was good, no complaints and the restaurant staff were polite and helpful. Room service… very basic. One day our bed sheets had just been folded over very messily with no effort at all.

The room was spotless, my gluten free breakfast was phenomenal 💯 recommendation
