Took my mom here for her birthday on a Saturday afternoon. I made reservations online which was super easy, I had to modify the number of people last minute & was able to do so online - super convenient! When we arrived, we were seated right away and given a booth. Our waiter was friendly & patient with our questions. My mom had some questions about some dishes and if we can substitute the meat for tofu. He checked with the kitchen staff & confirmed that yes, they can make it happen. They do have a system to call out those special dishes on the menu - gf = gluten free, v = vegetarian, vg = vegan. I ordered a latte (I tried to order a vanilla latte but they don't do do flavors, oops) --- the latte was a bit burnt but I drank it since I needed the caffeine for our day ahead (we had a whole itinerary planned). My mom ordered a black coffee. Their menu is a fusion of sorts - ranging from breakfast items to pizzas to Korean style ribs. So I'm sure you'll find something that tickles your pickle. It was brunch time so I ordered Eggs Benedict without the meat with a side salad. It was good, not too bad. I usually have my eggs over hard (yes, even with a benedict) so the eggs were too runny for me. It wasn't their fault - they aren't mind readers. My mom ordered the Napa Local Breakfast Plate with Tofu instead of meat. She said it was okay. I did like how the tofu was cooked - it was the consistency of fried tofu. They started to get busy as we ate but the staff didn't hurry us out so my mom & I could catch up a bit. That was nice. All in all, brunch was good. I think there are other places I'd go to for brunch next time but I'll definitely be back for lunch/dinner since their menu options look yums for those.

I no longer can consider this a safe place to dine as a celiac (gluten-free). Although they do technically have a separate fryer for french fries, tofu and other lightly fried items. We ordered take out from here in July while in Napa and I did so in person - to talk with the hostess about the need for the separate fryer. I had the pad thai with tofu (fried) and french fries, and was almost immediately sick after. Because we didn't really want to believe it had been Kitchen Door, we returned a few days later & spoke to the manager about putting another order in, but wanted to discuss it first. He let us know that we were "safe" to order on this particular night but that they'd had a beer dinner earlier in the week (prior to our last order) and had JUST changed out the oil for their fryers. So, when I placed the original order, the oil in both fryers had essentially been used to fry items for a beer dinner, thus yielding cross contamination. Needless to say we were extremely frustrated and did not place a 2nd order. If there is a dedicated fryer, then it should remain dedicated or staff should notify patrons. It's a bummer but since there are many reviews stating the fryer is 100% safe, I wanted to share our experience so that others don't have a similar outcome. Hopefully they'll think about correcting this in the future.
