Klunder's Kafe

This is a fantastic small town Iowa restaurant. We are talking the kind of Iowa cooking that I grew up with! Prices are great for present day, heck even 15 years ago. You really get what you pay for as portions are so generous. The cooks back in the kitchen know their stuff. They know about being gluten-free. And our waitress "Ashley" ran back to the kitchen more than once to confirm choices for my wife. She was such a nice and on the ball young woman. My wife loved the meal she got, I had the Chicken Fried steak stacker with hash browns, gravey and scrambled eggs, sourdough toast. Just to die for! Oh and the pies they make there, yeah do yourself a favor and get a slice to go. As you are not likely to be able to eat it after a meal there! When we are back down in Iowa again we are going back there. It was just like eating back when I was a kid in Iowa. Our thanks to everyone working there.
