High energy spot for dining, drinks. Professional waiters serve up medium portions of authentic and healthy and creative Mexican dishes. Bar bangs out Wahoo! drinks. A comfortable home for well dressed lovers; but also families, young hot gorgeous singles, and in the know seniors. Pretty restsurant indoors & especially out. Try it. You'll like it. Eat some familiar or something you've never had before. Why or why can't someone make a Gluten Free mole? Why is this so difficult?

This restaurant in Coconut Grove is beautiful, we had to make reservations in advance because it is busy on weekends, so I recommend you to make reservations before visiting. We parked a few blocks away on street parking, but I saw they offer valet parking. We went on a warm summer Saturday in Miami, our reservation was at 8:30pm, the hostess immediately sat us in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant. I asked to be seated inside but the hostess told me it would take 30-40 minutes and we were with our little 4 years old boy, so we rather sat outside. I would like to highlight that there is no option to choose inside or outside seating on the reservation platform. It was very hot and humid outside, they have fans outside but they don’t help much, our little kid was bitten by mosquitos and when we asked for a better accommodation considering the situation, the best they were able to offer was a repellent for the child, because apparently they were fully occupied inside and outside the restaurant. Continuing, our waiter was very nice but did not have much knowledge about the menu, he did not know if the tortillas were gluten free or not for example. We ordered guacamole, tostadas de atún, tostadas de ceviche (extremely spicy, had to return them), cochinita pibil tacos (really good), ensalada de sandía y palmitos (good salad) and enchiladas de pato en pipian rojo (a little spicy but very good). For dessert we ordered bread pudding and brownie with ice cream, after 10 minutes of waiting for desserts the waiter came and told us they had ran out of those two desserts (two out of four desserts available in the menu), so we had to order the only two other desserts, flan and churros which were very good specially the churros filled with chocolate, they were really good and are served hot with ice cream and chantilly. The price is average for the type of restaurant and location. To summarize my experience in koko, the food was good but nothing extraordinary, service was not good and a bad service can ruin your experience even if food is not bad, atmosphere is nice, the place is beautiful and is located in a nice neighborhood. Price was average. Videos and photos are below.
