I have eaten at Kona (pre-gluten free), but have called every few years and they have confirmed their sushi rice is NOT gluten free. Many sushi restaurants use distilled wheat vinegar as flavouring. Last time I called about a year ago, other places like Taka in Windsor and Koi Sushi in LaSalle have mentioned the same thing.
I like to eat at Hikari (has gf soy sauce and are the best trained on cross contamination in my opinion), Royal Sushi House in Amherstburg, or Oishii Sushi.

I have been coming here for quite some time and have always enjoyed the food, however on the last 3 occasions that I have placed an order for pickup, I have specified that it is a gluten allergy. Each time the order has been wrong and has contained gluten products or has not been kept separate.
