It's fancy yet affordable, posh yet accessible. As a rule of thumb - when I walk into an empty restaurant during prime hours, I usually leave. However, Kúcu is located in a posh ski town with plenty of options for visitors. It is unlikely that guests have come all this way to eat at the same hotel they're staying at, especially with Frisco, Dillon, and Breckenridge all less than 15 minutes away. The atmosphere is great at Kúcu, and the staff is well-trained and attentive. There was more staff than guests for the first hour, and the drinks came at a snail's pace. I've worked in enough bars in my youth to know that this is part of the "pacer program" that aims to keep the discounted liquor steady and avoids anyone taking advantage of the happy hour. If your goal is to drink so much that you can't safely drive home, this is a great option. If however you didn't come all this way to sit at the hotel, you'll find many more options just up the highway in Breckenridge.
