I can’t have coffee, sugar, dairy, gluten, etc on my elimination diet. This is one of the few places I can get a quick, satisfying meal and not have to worry about breaking my diet. The service is so fast I pick it up on my way from union to work (conveniently in the PATH, away from the cold. The staff are SOOO nice and WELL informed what ingredients are or are not in the menu items. One lady even remembered that I asked for the lavender and spirulina latte when they were out of it (I ordered golden latte instead), so today when I came in and ordered a golden latte again she remembered me and said hey we got the lavender and spirulina back in, want to try it instead? I found that very thoughtful and it brightened my day. Also, I can’t even have almond/oat/soy milk right now…this is one of the few places that offers coconut milk in their drinks!! And I sweetened with pure maple syrup. I come here multiple times a week now and intend to continue even after the diet is over! :) Oh btw this meal and drink costed just under $15 together which I find so worth it, with all the love that goes into the food, ensuring people with allergies and on diets have access to takeout options. AND can we talk about how generous they are with the guac?!
