Restaurant review only. The Norwegian smorgasbord here at Kviknes is divine and while spendy at $80 a person it is easily worth it. Imagine a buffet for a king…the king in movies…and that is what you’ll experience. Stone crab, shrimp, a dozen variety of fish, reindeer, steak, soups and stews, breads (even gluten free), plus salads, sides, and a spread of fruits, cheeses and desserts. Eat 5-6 stone crabs and you’ve already covered the cost. We made a reservation in advance and got the fjord window. That’s the primary reason I’d make a reservation.

Exciting hotel with a long history. Good food, both breakfast buffet and three-course dinner. Good with alternatives, eg gluten-free food. Good with free WiFi in the room, but missing minibar/fridge.
