This is one of those places you go to for the experience and then you’re happy to find out the food is pretty darn good as well. It’s essentially communal seating so you’ll make friends with your neighbors which creates a nice, fun environment. As a Celiac, I felt confident eating here with all the allergens listed clearly. The appetizers (you must get the warm pecorino and pear) and the sides were delicious. While I understood what we were getting with the Florentine steak, others in my group were a bit surprised. The steak is delicious if you don’t mind raw steak. Part of my group sent their steak back to cook a bit longer, which was a big mistake. The steak was sent back burnt. Also there is no rush to get you out of there which is fine if you are staying in Montepulciano but we had a drive. You must make a reservation! Go the early eating if you want to get out of there and the later one if you are looking to hang.
