L'Orto Bistrò

Fantastic vegan restaurant/cafe in the heart of historic Turin just a couple of minutes walk from the Cathedral. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table it was very busy especially with it being Christmas time. Decent gluten free options but maybe a bit limited. I had 2 sides instead of a main course. Russian salad and mushrooms both were delicious. The portions are very light and most come with a small number of roasted potato wedges. The pizza is very thick more like a topped focaccia. The vegan hot dog (not gf) is Beyond meat as is the burger and my son thought it was amazing! Portions seemed small but we all left very full and managed dessert. They offer a gluten free tiramisu and Pistacchietto which was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful and double checked our gluten free orders were correct. Cross contamination aware with everything wiped down and gf dishes prepared separately. Coeliac friendly.

Excellent place for brunch in Turin. Very friendly setting with high and low tables and above all quality food for brunch. The croissants are excellent as are the coffees. There is also a savory menu with a wide choice of vegetables and small gluten-free dishes. If you want to eat well and simply then this is an excellent place.
