L'orso 80

We decided to have dinner based on a friend's recommendation. We had reservations but weren't even asked our name to confirm so we clearly didn't need one. The highlight of our meal was the fried bread that was served beforehand, which was wonderful. Dinner was just ok. I was looking forward to the grilled shrimp scampi but was served something I wish I never had to deal with, a plate of grilled shrimp split in half, that had very little meat, which was very difficult dig out of the shell. The food was just ok, but at least the gluten free pasta I had was a little better than what I've had before. I can't say we were impressed and would have gone elsewhere had we known.

If you want to go for a walk in the historic center, visit the Corso, Piazza di Spagna and perhaps after all this taste of Rome's history you might want some typical and delicious dishes; well the bear 80 is just for you! You will feel at home because the staff makes you feel at home, and the dishes served are truly delicious and for all genres! They range from fresh fish ordered by my partner and her son to meat main courses prepared according to tradition. With great pleasure, my celiac partner was still able to enjoy the first course, because they cooked her gluten-free pasta without any problems. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience Roman cuisine, at reasonable prices and generous servings! Which is rare these days. PS: take the house appetizer... it's a surprise!
