Great place! 3rd generation restaurant owner, and it shows The little things are done right, the staff has a great attitude that creates a great atmosphere. Head and shoulders above any sports bar on this side of the Capitol Lots of seating (it is full and I mean full full during Breese Stevens events, or playoff games) Clean quality bathrooms Fish fry is solid (with many fish options), the soups are a hidden gem, I personally love the sandwiches and the pork wings 🪽 They have celiac safe options and take that responsibility very seriously Great bar staff too, so don't be afraid to belly up next to some great neighborhood regulars

I have not had tavern fries in 7 years. LJ's has a dedicated frier so their fries are gluten free. Likewise their burger came with a tasty gluten free bun. If you are truly celiac there is still risk of cross contamination, but I thought they did a pretty good job. The burger must have been larger than a third pound!
