This morning, some friends and I went to this place for breakfast because it has gluten-free options. Considering that one of our group suffers from celiac disease, we decided to call ahead to make sure the menu was truly 100% gluten-free. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The guy who helped us on the phone assured us they had a variety of products suitable for celiacs. However, upon arrival, we asked again, and his response was completely contradictory to the original.
They told us they had gluten-free products, but cooking everything on the same grill causes contamination. So, what's the point of indicating that there are gluten-free options if they can't really be certified as 100% gluten-free?
I find it totally shameful, especially considering that celiac disease is a digestive disease and not a choice.
Therefore, given what we've seen, we won't be returning.
P.S.: If you look at the photo of the menu, the cover assures us that there are both vegan and gluten-free options.
