La Máquina Málaga

Our first visit after La Máquina opened in Malaga a few months ago, and we'll definitely be back soon. Located right in the center of Malaga, facing the port and just steps from the Cathedral, this establishment is a true marvel. It has low tables both on the terrace and in the beautiful dining room, and a spectacular bar. Usuzukuri of wild line-caught sea bass and black truffle tiradito, grilled baby squid with mild garlic, Tudela artichoke flowers with salt flakes candied in extra virgin olive oil (each), and wild Alaskan black cod seasoned with miso marinated in salt were our choices. All exquisite, especially the usuzukuri. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful, especially Rafael and Gustavo, who served us at the table, offering us all kinds of gluten-free options. We suggested they provide a high table area for the tapas that are typical of our traditions.

A long-standing restaurant in Madrid, which opened a branch in the center of Malaga in 2025. It doesn't disappoint: 100% quality, a calm and elegant atmosphere. They handle gluten well (gluten-free bread and are careful not to contaminate dishes). I recommend the Russian salad (a classic in Malaga and among the La Maquina group), the cockles, and the wild sea bass in salt.
