La Casa Pizzaria West at Pacific Springs

A very unique thin crust pizza where the topping lays over the cheese. It is delicious and addicting! Gluten free crust is unbelievably yummy!! Perfect family venue!

First, the good: I ordered a gluten free pizza and they took appropriate precautions to make sure it was safe to eat. I didn't have any allergic reaction, so thank you for that. Whenever I order a meal at the counter, I usually expect almost no customer service for the rest of the visit. I was pleasantly surprised that they did a terrific job of refilling water and anything else we need. So why the mediocre review? The food and the price. The pizza was edible but not memorable, a little like a frozen pizza, though given the choice, I'd actually prefer the Costco brand frozen pizza. The sauce didn't hint of anything fresh, the toppings were meager and, again, the flavor didn't make me even want to ask for more. The thin crust was good, though slightly undercooked. My wife's lasagna also was reminiscent of a 'buy it and zap it' easy prep meal from the the frozen section of the grocery store. The ambiance was... um... nonexistent. Nothing interesting on the walls, cafeteria tiling, and a view of the parking lot. There were plenty of tables available. When that is the case at 5:30 on a Friday night, it's not promising. With a bill of a little over $40 for very "meh" food and atmosphere, this was our first and last visit to this venue.
