La Crema

Ambience is very trendy and vibrant. Tends to be busy in the weekends. Cappuccino was perfect. Finally a place that serves great coffee which is hot at the right temperature. Not lukewarm and not scorching hot. The small patisserie is to die for. It makes your mouth water just by looking at it. The ricotta pastries are especially delicious. They even have gluten-free and vegan options. Would highly recommend.

I visited this restaurant last Sunday, and was severely intoxicated with gluten. I insisted to the workers that I was allergic, and that it had to be 100% gluten free. I had pancakes and scrambled eggs (with bread), and I don´t know exactly what it was that had gluten, but after a few hours, I started throwing up and feeling a lot of pain. I didn´t eat anywhere else during this day, so it had to be here. This completely ruined my trip to Malta, because I had to go home, and had to stay in bed for the remaining time. I understand that this was a mistake, but this mistake could ruin someone's weekend, and cause a lot of pain.
