This is the place to be at weekends! I cannot praise the food highly enough. Real home cooking done properly and always to exacting standards. The best burgers in either the Charante or the Dordogne, no competition. (They even do veggie and vegan burgers - which is almost unheard of in this part of France!) There's a great quiz on the last Saturday of every month and the menu for that is always a real treat and has veggie/vegan options too. Fish n Chip Friday (or battered Irish sausage if you prefer!) with pukka fish, tartare sauce and proper vinegar! It's wonderful to have found a place that offers a selection of food rather than 'it's this or nothing', as is common in this area. If you need gluten-free, you've hit the jackpot. Not only can you have a tasty burger but there is also gluten-free beer here. I'm not aware of that anywhere else in these parts. Go for it, you cannot miss with this place; Magners cider, Guinness and 1664 all on draught and an enormous selection of whiskeys, gins and liqueurs.

An excellent pub to eat with excellent homemade dishes! I come here every time I go on vacation to Limousin. Whether it's pizzas or others, everything is good, even the deserts! Guinness is served like in Dublin with the clover drawn in the foam 🇮🇪 You also find Magners cider on tap 🖤 The prices are more than fair! The big plus: vegetarian or gluten-free option even for all burgers for example. The same goes for the dishes, you will always have a vegetarian choice and I really appreciate that. 🙏🏻 (They understood everything) A very beautiful terrace for sunny days but also a beautiful indoor room with an all-wooden bar. The toilets are clean and beautiful/original. Lots of board games freely available but be careful, quite a few in English 😉 The staff is very friendly as is the owner of the place! Of course they speak a lot of English but no worries a young waitress is bilingual and at worst you revise your Shakespearean language with a beer in hand! We understand each other easily and this fraternity between French and English is really pleasant. In short, come and have a good time but a word of advice: call to reserve a table to eat! 👍
