La Higuera

A fantastic introduction to Barcelona! This was our first stop after a long day of travelling from America. Service was fast and our waiter was extremely accommodating, speaking English with us (and some Spanish with my AP Spanish-student cousin) and making excellent recommendations for drinks and dishes. The simple cheese plate and tomato bread were divine, and the garlic shrimp was seriously the best shrimp I’ve had in my life. My mom said the same about the sausage as well. I’m a pescatarian and had no trouble finding plenty to eat, and most of my dishes were vegetarian friendly as well. The menu also makes distinctions for all sort of dietary restrictions and allergies, including gluten. Drinks were very good as well - the Mango No. 5 and Jack Sparrow cocktails were to die for! Overall a great experience with super friendly service and impeccable dishes.

A discovery. Good cuisine, attentive to the celiac issue and they also make magnificent cocktails.
