La mia Mamma Notting Hill

We stumbled across La Mia Mamma when searching for a lunch spot in Notting Hill. It was only when we arrived at the restaurant that we realised it had featured on Stanley Tucci’s ‘Searching for Italy’, which we loved. We thought it may be quite expensive as a result, but everything was very reasonably priced, especially given the quality of the food. We shared the parmigiana to start and both had the guanciale pasta for main (gluten free for me). It was all absolutely delicious. Sat on our little table by the bar, it genuinely felt like being in Italy, topped off by the whole staff singing ‘Happy birthday’ in Italian to a diner at another table. We loved it!

Just brilliant from start to finish. Family behind us had screaming kids which was a bit annoying but that’s hardly the restaurants fault and they left after half an hour anyways. Service was flawless, food was delicious (they even had gluten free options for my friend), atmosphere was warm and welcoming, decor feels like you’ve teleported to Sicily. Everything felt authentic to the tee and, for the level of experience we had, the prices are so incredibly reasonable (would have expected to pay double what we did!) If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re missing out

Authentic Italian food and a very fun and authentic Italian atmosphere. The food and service were amazing and they also had gluten free pizza and pasta options!
