LaPluma Coffee & Wine

My wife and I have tried a different Alexandria coffee shop each week this summer, and LaPluma is my favorite. The coffee is just stellar—both plain and with syrups. And the patio is spacious and relaxing. Also, their gluten free baked goods are very tasty. Can’t recommend highly enough!

As someone else said, this place is indeed a hidden gem! Loved the food, drinks, and the staff were all lovely, especially on a busy Sunday. We had the tostones, pupusas, and the rellenitos. Also, for anyone complaining about the price tag on some of the food items, try to keep things in perspective. Groceries are expensive enough if you’re an individual, now imagine you’re a restaurant owner trying to break even (signed someone who runs an independent catering business). Also love the dog friendly patio and gluten-free options! Definitely coming back.

I’ve been here a few times and I like the location with nearby free street parking, service, and outdoor seating availability. Gluten free protein waffle was a healthy option for breakfast, a bit too salty to my liking but nevertheless, I was happy to see a savory GF food on the menu. Service is super friendly and attentive, I hope they keep it up since lots and lots similar establishments these days seem to have a decline in customer service.
