La Taqueria Ormeau

The food here is excellent - everything is pretty simple and really well done. The cocktails are top class, a proper authentic margarita experience (I'd especially recommend the mezcal margarita). There's good gluten free options and veggie/vegan options. The decor and general ambience of the place is pretty casual given the price of things, which is the only thing that maybe let's it down. Also worth noting hat a 10% service charge is automatically baked into your receipt. Overall, a reliable and tasty place to enjoy Mexican.

We went on the recommendation of our host (she works in one of the sister restaurants). In fact her top suggestion was to get a coconut margarita and she wasn't wrong. Food was excellent, the fish tacos were a particular highlight. Even better the tacos are 100% corn so they were coeliac friendly. The staff were able to provide clear guidance as to what was or wasn't gluten free on the menu. So, if you're in South Belfast for dinner, La Taqueria is certainly worth a visit. Booking in advance is probably advisable.
