Stunning! Delicious! Authentic! Drop in for breakfast or make a reservation for lunch/dinner. This is a tiny local Venezuelan restaurant that cooks amazing, homemade, traditional meals. The owners are friendly, warm, and talented. The space is part of the Anatè Beach Apartments and also dubs as an art studio. Juan Carlos and Anatè, the owners, are sweet, friendly, and joyful, and their cuisine reflects their love of food and culture. You will not find an experience like this at a resort. If you’re looking for a local, authentic experience in Aruba, stay in Savaneta (Pos Chikito, Mangel Halto), and stop in La Tavola for an amazing, unforgettable meal.
For breakfast, we had perico venezolano (a delicious savory egg dish), traditional cheese toasted to perfection, warm crispy toast, French press coffee, freshly squeezed mango/mint juice, and nata (a traditional creamy whipped butter).
For dinner, we had octopus ceviche, seafood paella, arepa (a traditional gluten-free corn-based bread), and a to-die-for chocolate passion fruit pudding-like dessert.
We had a magical, unforgettable experience at LA TAVOLA!
