Not recommended for celiacs - the staff doesn't know what they're doing!
We went to La Vita and ordered a cappuccino, an iced coffee, and apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
My daughter has celiac disease and has to follow a strict gluten-free diet; dietary errors have serious consequences!
They advertise gluten-free pizza, so we thought they knew what they were talking about. Everything is clearly labeled on the menu, which is great. But our server didn't know anything.
According to the menu, the iced coffee is gluten-free, but it came with a biscuit (= gluten-containing) on top. This contaminated the dish so badly that my daughter isn't allowed to eat it. We immediately pointed this out, and the waiter removed the biscuit from the cream, but that wasn't enough. We said so, and the waiter grumbled and took the iced coffee and brought a new one. Friendly is different!
The vanilla ice cream had a very bland flavor and contained several large pieces of ice (frozen water) – in short, it didn't taste good. The cappuccino was okay, but very small for €4.40. The apple strudel was also okay, but nothing special.
It's a real shame, as the seating here is very pleasant. Maybe the other food is good, and if you don't have celiac disease, the above description doesn't matter.
