Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa

I can't recommend this venue enough. We stopped here several times while planning our wedding and received nothing but the warmest of welcomes from the staff who would incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. The rooms are unique; whether it's the quirky old fashioned phones, huge claw foot bath, secret doors disguised as bookshelves, or private balconies, it's an experience like no other. And that's not even getting into the views. One of the most stunning views imaginable from many of the rooms overlooking Llyn Efyrnwy. And it genuinely doesn't matter what the weather is like; we visited in the pouring rain, under a blanket of snow, and blazing sunshine, each time it was a breath-taking and spectacular landscape to enjoy. The food is also incredibly delicious and they cater well to people with Coeliac disease or otherwise require a gluten free diet.

Second stay in a few years. Prices have risen steeply for spa, drinks and food it seems but the hotel is looking and feeling a bit tired now so hard to say why. The views of the lake are incredible. The food is excellent with great gluten free choices.
