Detour a little way off the 40 for a delicious bite to eat in a cute cafe in Rigaud. Gluten free and vegan options available. Both sweet and savoury items on offer.

This spot is a real gem, I've missed my opportunity to visit in past as they close at 4pm but now I make it a destination as part of my travels. Daily fresh pastries, full flavor and great combination of qualityingredients in their daily sandwiches and morning egg on pastry, great tasting coffee, and the best IMO are their gluten free cakes and muffins (not vegan though) make this a great spot to hop off the hwy for a 2 min detour when traveling between MTL and Ottawa or if you're just in the area for a day trip. The only thing to be aware is they close at 4pm so plan for it and not be disappointed.
