Le Romane

Extremely professional service, incredible food and very gluten free friendly. The chef came out to ask about the gluten free needs. We were looked after by Francesco, who was so friendly! I 100% recommend this authentic Italian restaurant.

Wow!! That word sums up our experience. I came to Le Romane based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. My partner got the Ravioli filled with braised beef and butter cream sauce. I ended up getting the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe…GLUTEN FREE. I searched the reviews and did not see anything mentioning GF, but all you have to do is ask the restaurant. Cannot recommend enough, better than the Italian food we had in Rome! Francesco was our waiter and was able to accommodate without any wait. I cannot guarantee this for everyone as we saw several people having to be on a wait list after our arrival, but this completed our trip to Barcelona!

The truth is that I am quite disappointed with this place. We celebrated a friend's birthday and we asked before to check the gluten-free options, they told us that they had gluten-free pasta, that I could eat the risottos. When we arrived at the place I could only eat two pastas and some of the risottos. I decided to order a gorgonzola risotto, and had to send it back. I hate complaining about food, I usually put up with it if it was a bad decision and that's it, but the gorgonzola risottos didn't have gorgonzola and didn't taste like anything. I asked to change it to the gluten-free pasta with tomato, which was pretty decent. The good thing to note is that they were very kind by changing my plate, and the price was not bad. The place is nice and there is a cool atmosphere.
