I have been to restaurant Le Souq for the first time, a small restaurant at the Voorhaven in the oldest part of Rotterdam 'Delfshaven'.
The food is very tasty, new flavors to discover (it was my first time I had Libanese food), the meat was tender and there where enough vegetables, when you order you can say if you want fries or (very tasty) rice with your meal. We had starters "5 pieces mezze" and a main dish, our stomachs where full, no place for dessert, the portion you get is more then enough. The Libanese wine was a joy to drink. The waitress was very kind and when you asked something about the food she could answer you, right away without asking the chef. When we ordered the Libanese coffee she told us it also have kardemom in it and that is a taste you have to develop.
Vegetarians can eat very well in this cosy restaurant, there is enough to choose from and on the menu is written if it is vegetarian and information about gluten etc..
Prices are not very high at Le Souq so you can eat there without the fear of a heartattack when you get the bill.
Definitely a place to visit, take a tour around beautiful Delfshaven and end with a lovely meal at Le Souq.
The restaurant is well to reach by subway or tram, when you go with public transportation it's just 10 min from city centre.
