Le Swan

I recently had a lovely experience at Le Swan! An intimate and low lit art deco influenced interior make this place ideal for a date, or a more sophisticated outing. Something I want to mention is the outstanding service I received. I happen to be gluten intolerant, and I was very pleased with how in depth and helpful the waiter was in informing me about which items I could eat, what substitutions could be made, and what I should avoid due to cross contamination. During the entire meal, I felt well taken care of in regards to my gluten intolerance, and was assured multiple times measures were followed to ensure my dish was safe. The food and drinks themselves were delicious. We had a Salade Niçoise and a Steak Frites, accompanied by orange wine. The Salade Niçoise, while not wholly traditional, tasted very nice. I liked the addition of sundried tomatoes. The sauce was also lovely, but it was definitely different than what I expected (not necessarily a bad thing). As for the steak, it was well cooked, the fries were crispy, and it was accompanied with a delicious seasoned mayo. I do think the potions were rather small for North American standards, but I used to live in France, so they were quite normal if you’re comparing it to that. Overall I very much enjoyed my meal at Le Swan and I would recommend it!
