Winchester is very lucky to have Levant Mediterranean Grill. As someone who studied abroad in the Levant region of the Mediterranean, I found the dishes and menu items authentically took me back to a place and time that I reflect fondly upon. An added note: I have celiac disease and have not poorly responded to the chicken shawarma or the hummus and both are delightful. For anyone who is interested, they also have ayran available for purchase (a savory yogurt drink that is essentially one part water, one part unflavored yogurt and salted to taste which is a typical drink characteristic of the Levant region…an acquired taste as one could imagine, but nonetheless an authentic offering true to the culture from which the menu is derived). Levant Mediterranean Grill is a flavorful and authentic culinary journey in the heart of the Bluegrass.
