Exceptional, refined, brilliant. I rarely write reviews but this is one of those rare places I felt compelled to review. I am not impressed very often, especially with food. When it comes to seafood, we have our favorites along the coast of New England and have never found something significant anywhere in the Delmarva Peninsula, until now. The staff were professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The menu speaks for itself with a concise sophistication. As we are gluten free, we were shocked at how many of the items were available gluten free and the server was happy to modify some of the entrees for our dietary restrictions. The wine list was a rare experience: the server brought out the expert to speak with us- he was excellent and quickly suggested an Amarone- which we love. It was very reasonable in price and outstanding. The food is next level and achieves a very hard to find standard of excellence which we have never found in this region before. The calamari and the mussels were remarkable. We then tried a second round of lobster fries and shishito peppers- we were blown away. Hats off to the staff for the presentation and preparation. Thank you- we will be back and bringing others next time around. Can’t wait to return. Appreciate the hard work and effort to achieve this level.

Lewes Oyster House was very good and the service was excellent. We enjoyed an assortment of raw oysters, which were fresh and briney. The ravioli starter was also very good. We were disappointed with the grilled octopus and to the restaurants credit they removed it from the bill, which we appreciated. I highly recommend the halibut and scallops. For those who have Celiac and need gluten free, there are choices, but avoid anything fried because of cross contamination.

Hands down the best meal I've had out in a while. Staff asked right at the beginning if anyone at the table had food allergies or sensitivities! Staff was very informative about foods offered and provided alternative which is so helpful given the several food allergies I have! The entire table enjoyed their meal and I was happy to agree as it's always a challenge for me to eat out! Usually desert is not an option, but the Staff suggested the gluten free creme brule with French toast which was amazing! You will be well taken care of here and able to enjoy a carefree dining experience.
