This shop is just absolutely amazing. It's a big mistake to go in if you're hungry. Every time we go to lovely Northallerton, we have to have a browse. They also stock an amazing black pudding, that's gluten free. I have celiac disease. I'm not going to mention it's name or it will all be sold out by my next visit.

Sat in the coffee lounge area which is ok but needs some character adding and possibly a screen at the entrance at the top of the stairs because it's quite drafty. The poached eggs were ok but I like runny poached eggs so a bit disappointed. That said the coffee, rarebit, cakes and scones were really good, mine was gluten free cake which was sweet but very tasty. Staff were lovely, polite and friendly. The tea room area is fine and more comfortable.
