Best BBQ I've ever had! Highly recommend.

We had Lewis BBQ cater our wedding and they absolutely crushed it!! We’ve been to so many weddings with dry chicken and overcooked steaks from the hotbox— we did not want that to be the case for our wedding. We knew we would be in great hands with Lewis! Their brisket was the star of the show (and I’m a brisket snob). Freshly sliced on-site, with a nice smoke ring, great flavor— it just melted in your mouth. We also got the turkey— I was slightly worried about it being dry because turkey is so lean, but it was nowhere near dry! It was soo well seasoned and provided a great poultry option. The mac n cheese was delicious. Their potato salad is some of my favorite. Our guests would not stop talking about the dinner Lewis provided!!! They were also suuuper knowledgeable about our dietary restrictions. Lewis is great about it in-store, so we knew they could be trusted for our wedding, too! I worked alongside Alicia through the sales/planning process and she was fantastic from start to finish! She was always prompt to reply, knew the answer to all of my questions, and was soo friendly!

Is Charleston’s best known barbecue spot worth a shot? Is it true destination barbecue bbq? Yes - the lines are long, 90 minutes at 630 pm on a hot humid southern Saturday night. The meats and sides are worth it. All the meats are gluten free gf. Easy to order take out online Brisket - ordered wet. Still a bit dry. Okay bark. Of the things we got, this stood out the least. Ribs 🐷- great. Dry, sweet w a great rub. Sausage - spicy 🌶️!!! Great and well made. Chopped pork - good, decent bark. Sides - fantastic Cole slaw - not the bad sweet mayo junk - tangy and crunch. Beans - pinto style, very tasty. Potato salad - good, tangy, not too sweet.
