3 Stars - Tasty but Overpriced and Slow We visited this chip shop in Great Yarmouth after hearing it offered gluten-free options, which is a big plus for us. The fish was absolutely lovely – fresh, crisp, and cooked really well. We ordered 3 gluten-free fish, 3 battered sausages, 2 large chips, 2 large peas, and one regular fish, and the food itself tasted great. However, the price left us shocked – it came to £70! We had to ask the server to double-check because it seemed so steep, especially for a takeaway. At £9.50 per gluten-free fish, it really adds up fast. On top of that, we waited around 40 minutes for our order, which was frustrating. There only seemed to be one guy handling everything – he was friendly and doing his best, but clearly under a lot of pressure. All in all, the food was very nice, and the gluten-free options are appreciated, but the long wait and high price took away from the experience. Not sure we’d return in a hurry, but it’s worth trying once if you’re in the area and need gluten-free.
