Lido Prestwick

A safe haven for the gluten free patron! As someone who gets very sick after eating gluten I'm often anxious to eat out. The waitress put my mind at ease right away as she had a fantastic knowledge of the food they serve and possible contaminates. She was kind, welcoming, cheerful and clearly well educated with her menu. I had the porcini mushroom and truffle pizza and it was delicious. I can't recommend this restaurant enough and we will definitely be back when visiting the area.

We came to celebrate a birthday taking advantage of the pre 6pm offer. The menu is, unsurprisingly, small as it's a special deal. I suppose that's why the portions looked quite mean. I had the hummus which was quite good. However, what a rolled up piece of flabby flatbread was doing in the plate is the question I asked. Have you tried to grab hummus with a rubber glove? A crispy pitta would have worked better My husband and I had the chicken burger. Not very good: a thin piece of dried grilled chicken. Chips were good though. Others enjoyed the cauliflower bites and crispy calamari (the gluten free option was far superior) For mains the fish goujons were OK but the slow braised steak was tough. Sorry Lido, nice atmosphere and setting ok but we're not eating here again
